Voltido

A visit to these places takes you down narrow country roads, where peace and tranquillity reign. Walks along the rural routes and embankments of the Delmona offer a perfect place to watch the sunsets over these lands, where colours are unique and unrepeatable. Probably inhabited by the Romans, Voltido was formerly called "Aldendum" meaning the land of the aldî, men enjoying a status of semi-freedom according to the Lombard customs. Villa Casalini is also worth seeing, consisting of a sixteenth century nucleus and a rustic courtyard that includes the remains of a former fortress, with a tower which is still visible. Another important example is Villa Decio Furchino, situated in Recorfano and dating from the eighteenth century.
