Torre de' Picenardi

Here visitors can admire the magnificent villa of the same name, built in the late eighteenth century at the behest of the Picenardi brothers. A well-developed architectural complex, surrounded by a moat and enriched with beautiful interiors. Behind the house a huge park meets the eye, offering an enchanting walk past classical temples, ponds and artificial ruins. Also worth seeing is the building known as the Villino, an original building surrounded by a pre-arranged Italian garden. In the hamlet of San Lorenzo De’ Picenardi stands the unmistakable profile of the castle, with its battlements, built in the first half of the nineteenth century by Luigi Voghera on a pre-existing fifteenth century site. Isolated in a magnificent park with its luxuriant vegetation, the imposing manor comprises six towers and the interior offers a series of rooms sumptuously furnished in the style of the time.
