Church of St. Anthony Abbot

One of the greatest examples of religious art in the Oglio Po area is to be found in Villa Pasquali, where the hand of Antonio Galli Bibiena planned the Parish Church of Saint Anthony. Built between 1764 and 1784, the church looks impressive and fascinating. The central dome, the semi domes of the choir and the two main chapels have a perforated terracotta under-vault, giving the church a suggestive image, illuminating it with indirect lighting.
