Villa Pallavicino Montaldi

Along with the Manfredi castle, Villa Pallavicino Montaldi is another example of the architectonic fervour that characterised Cicognolo in the 19th century. It was built by Luigi Voghera between 1817 and 1820. The garden is certainly the most interesting part, built before 1814. Inspired by neo-classical style lines, the park repeats the style of the Torre dè Picenardi villa and garden. In the Villa Pallavicino garden, before the works were undertaken by the Voghera family, there was already a small temple dedicated to Priapus and a grotto dedicated to Pan.
