Pallavicino Courtyard, Ca' de' Caggi Courtyard

This was an 18th-century farmhouse, with the owner’s villa, the tenant’s house and residence for the 19th-century farmers. The structure, with a delicate Baroque profile, is that of farmsteads – typical of Lombard employment that made a community self-sufficient. After a wide, high and remarkably deep entrance gate, you get to a harmonious colonnade with a ribbed vault. The structure also includes an Oratory (with loggia) dedicated to San Carlo Borromeo, founded by the Ripari nobles in 1612. It also preserves some remains in marble of a previous Church dedicated to Sant' Apollinare, demolished around the mid-20th century.
