“La Silenziosa” Farmstead

The old farmstead, "La Silenziosa," is one of the most important historic testimonial of this genre in the GAL OGLIO PO area. It belonged to the noble Viadano family of the Bedulli Counts, old proprietors of the Basse complex, who were authorized by the Gonzaga to display their coat of arms. The farmstead currently belongs to the sculptor, Italo Lanfredini who described it in this manner: "La Silenziosa – or “quiet one,” is how I called my home-studio because it is a place of silence in the midst of silence, ideal for listening and operating. All that is found within is nurtured, in my view, by the aura of the place as if the plastic installations have always lived there. Perhaps, my works have really always belonged here and also I with them."
